Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Kandra K. Robbins earned a Bachelor of Science in 1990 from Central Michigan University and a Juris Doctor in 1993 from the Northern Illinois University College of Law. She served as a staff attorney and prosecutor for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Michigan (1993-2000), as Chief Judge for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribal Court (2000-2006), and as an Administrative Law Judge with the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules (2006-2021). She was appointed as an immigration judge in October 2021 and sits at the Jena Immigration Court. Judge Robbins is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
