Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Jon P. Calandruccio earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2002 from Oglethorpe University and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force since 2009 at locations including Afghanistan, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel, and he served as deputy counsel for Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan (2021-2024) and as an acquisitions attorney at Eglin Air Force Base (2024). He was appointed as a temporary immigration judge in February 2026. Judge Calandruccio is a member of the Connecticut Bar and the New York State Bar.
