Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge John P Ellington earned a Bachelor of Science in 1990 from Georgia State University, a Juris Doctor in 1993 from the Dickinson School of Law, and a Master of Liberal Arts in 2014 from the University of Pennsylvania. Before his appointment, he served as general counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (2014-2016), as a government trial counsel for ICE (2002-2014), as a deputy attorney general in the Fraud Section of the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General (2000-2002), and as an assistant district attorney in the Berks County District Attorney's Office (1997-2000).
