Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Jared Grimmer earned a Bachelor of Science in 1995 from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University) and a Juris Doctorate in 2000 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He served as a temporary immigration judge at the Kansas City Immigration Court from October 2025 to April 2026. From 2022 to 2025, he served in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Reserves; from 2015 to 2022 he was an assistant U.S. attorney in Las Vegas; and from 2001 to 2014 he served as a U.S. Air Force JAG, deploying to Iraq in 2010. Judge Grimmer is a member of the Missouri Bar.
