Background

The Honorable Immigration Judge Jared M. Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Science in 1998 from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor in 2016 from South Texas College of Law. From August 2020 to February 2026, he served as an assistant district attorney with the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office in Conroe, Texas, and earlier as an assistant district attorney in Fort Bend and Harris Counties. He served in the U.S. Navy from 2000 to 2004, earning a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
