Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Ian D Midgley earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from Youngstown State University and a Juris Doctor in 1998 from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Before his appointment, he served as a supervisory administrative law judge with the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals in Miami (2014-2019) and as an assistant chief counsel for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Orlando (2008-2014). He earlier served on active duty as a judge advocate in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army and is a member of the Florida Bar.
