Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Hugh Mullane earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1989 from Siena College and a Juris Doctor in 1993 from Georgetown University Law Center. He served as special counsel in the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Policy from 2005 to 2008, as Director of Immigration Security for the Homeland Security Council at the White House from 2004 to 2005, and as senior litigation counsel in the Civil Division of the Department of Justice from 1995 to 2004, following earlier work at the Federal Trade Commission and a federal district court clerkship. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the New York State Bar.
