The Honorable Immigration Judge Helaine R Perlman earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor in 2002 from New York University School of Law. She served within the Office of General Counsel at the Executive Office for Immigration Review as deputy general counsel from 2016 to 2017, senior counsel for immigration from 2013 to 2016, and associate general counsel from 2011 to 2013, and earlier worked as an associate attorney at Hogan Lovells LLP in Washington, D.C., from 2002 to 2011. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland State Bars.
