Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Eric C. Bales earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor in 2008 from the Ave Maria School of Law. Before his appointment, he served as an assistant chief counsel with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas (2016-2018) and San Antonio (2010-2016), and as a general attorney with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Miami (2008-2010). He has served as a judge advocate with the Texas Army National Guard since 2014.
