Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Dayna Beamer was appointed as an immigration judge in April 1997. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1977 from the University of Hawaii and a Juris Doctor in 1980 from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law. She was in private practice before serving as a deputy attorney general in Hawaii's Department of the Attorney General from 1983 to 1987. From 1987 to 1997, she served as an assistant district counsel at the Honolulu district office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. She is a member of the Hawaii Bar.
