Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Dan Pelletier earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1974 and a Juris Doctor in 1977, both from the University of Georgia. From March 2003 to October 2006 he served as an assistant chief counsel for the Department of Homeland Security in Atlanta, and from December 1987 to March 2003 he served as an assistant district counsel with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service in Atlanta. He also served as a special assistant U.S. attorney (1990-1996) and as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army.
