Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Courtney Chua Stevens earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 from Tufts University and a Juris Doctor in 2011 from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. From 2019 to 2024 she served with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, in New York City as deputy chief counsel (2023-2024) and assistant chief counsel (2019-2023), and from 2012 to 2019 she was an attorney in private practice in New York City practicing matrimonial, family, and immigration law.
