Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Charles E. Pazar earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1974 from Boston University and a Juris Doctor in 1977 from Rutgers University School of Law. He served as an attorney advisor with the Drug Enforcement Administration (1978-1987), as associate general counsel with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (1987-1989), in private practice in Fairfax, Virginia (1989-1990), and as senior litigation counsel with the Office of Immigration Litigation (1990-1998). He was appointed an immigration judge in June 1998 and is a member of the New Jersey, District of Columbia, and Virginia Bars.
