Background
The Honorable Immigration Judge Catherine G. Phillips earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2009 from Louisiana State University and a Juris Doctor in 2013 from the Southern University Law Center. She was in private practice in Alabama in 2025 and served as an active-duty naval officer specializing in military justice from 2014 to 2024, continuing as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Reserves. She was appointed a temporary immigration judge assigned to the New Orleans Immigration Court.
