Background

The Honorable Immigration Judge Brandon Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Science in 2012 from Liberty University and a Juris Doctor in 2015 from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. From May 2023 to March 2026, he served as assistant chief of the criminal justice section at the Office of the Attorney General of Ohio in Columbus, and earlier was an assistant attorney general in that section (2015-2018). He served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army, including as senior special victim counsel for the Pacific Region and as an administrative law attorney and magistrate for the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii and trial counsel for the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, and holds the rank of major in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
