The Honorable Immigration Judge Adam H. Leonatti was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in August 2026. Judge Leonatti earned a Bachelor of Science in 1994 from Kent State University and a Juris Doctor in 1997 from the Ohio State University College of Law. From December 2024 to August 2026, Judge Leonatti served as chief of labor law, and from August 2023 to December 2024 as deputy chief of labor law, for the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, where he had served as an attorney advisor from January 2022. From December 2023 to March 2024, Judge Leonatti deployed to Kuwait as brigade judge advocate for the 371st Sustainment Brigade, Ohio Army National Guard, where he had earlier served as trial counsel from April 2013 to April 2014. From June 2014 to January 2022, Judge Leonatti served as deputy chief legal counsel for the Ohio National Guard in Columbus, after joining as a judge advocate in April 2014. From January 2005 to April 2013, Judge Leonatti was a partner, and from December 1998 to December 2004 an associate, at Thompson, Meier & Dersom in Columbus, following private practice in Columbus and Nelsonville from November 1997. Judge Leonatti is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
