Appellate Immigration Judge, Board of Immigration Appeals
Attorney General Pamela Bondi appointed Sheila E. Gallow as an Appellate Immigration Judge in August 2025. Judge Gallow earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from Auburn University and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. From January 2020 to August 2025, she served as an Immigration Judge at the Atlanta – Ted Turner Drive Immigration Court. From 2016 to 2019, she served as an assistant chief counsel, Office of Chief Counsel, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Atlanta. From 2011 to 2016, she served as the chief assistant district attorney in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. From 2012 to 2020, she also served as a judge advocate with the U.S. Army Reserves, serving as an administrative law attorney, trial counsel, legal advisor for FEMA Region IV, and brigade judge advocate in the following locations: Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Gordon, Georgia; and Fort Benning, Georgia. From 2007 to 2011, she served as an assistant attorney general with the Office of Georgia Attorney General, in Atlanta. Judge Gallow is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
