L Visa (For International Companies to Transfer Employees)

The L-1 visa is for intracompany transferees who work in managerial or executive positions in a company that is located outside the United States. This visa is intended to allow employees of the foreign entity to establish a new office, or easily transfer between offices.

The L-2 for employees who are not managers or executives, but have specialized knowledge of the business operations.

Since August 2026, USCIS does not have to ask you for missing evidence before denying an application. What that means for your filing.
