The Honorable Immigration Judge Shiv Sachdeva was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in August 2026. Judge Sachdeva earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002 from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of Georgia School of Law. From March 2026 to May 2026, Judge Sachdeva served as a legal consultant at the Law Offices of Blake A. Poole LLC in Gainesville, Georgia. From July 2008 to February 2026, Judge Sachdeva served as a senior assistant district attorney with the Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office in Gainesville, Georgia. From December 2006 to June 2008, Judge Sachdeva served as an assistant district attorney with the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office in Columbus, Georgia. Judge Sachdeva is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
