The Honorable Immigration Judge Saundra D Arrington was appointed as an immigration judge in August 2010 by Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1974 from the University of California, Irvine, and a Juris Doctor in 1994 from Southern Methodist University School of Law. From 1994 to 2000, she served as an assistant district attorney with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, and from 2000 to 2008 she worked as a trial attorney and senior attorney for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Dallas. From 2008 to 2010, she served as associate counsel with the Office of the Chief Counsel, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
