The Honorable Immigration Judge Raymond J. Hartsough was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in July 2026. Judge Hartsough earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2014 from Youngstown State University, a Master of Business Administration in 2017 from the University of Akron, and a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Laws in 2017 from the University of Akron School of Law. From February 2024 to July 2026, he served as a magistrate in the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in Akron, Ohio. From January 2023 to February 2024, he served as the assistant chief legal counsel for the Ohio Secretary of State in Columbus. From September 2021 to January 2023, he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office in Youngstown, Ohio. From December 2018 to September 2021, he served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office in Akron, Ohio. Judge Hartsough is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
