The Honorable Immigration Judge Michael S. Rapiejko was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in July 2026. Judge Rapiejko earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from the University of Maryland, a Master of Arts in 2012 from Northern Arizona University, and a Juris Doctor in 2018 from Quinnipiac University School of Law. From July 2025 to July 2026, he served as counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Eloy, Arizona. From April 2024 to July 2025, he served as a legal specialist with the Office of Professional Responsibility, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of the Treasury (DOT), in Parsippany, New Jersey. From August 2018 to April 2024, he served as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, IRS, DOT, in Newark, New Jersey. Judge Rapiejko is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
