The Honorable Immigration Judge Lauren B. Watson was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in July 2026. Judge Watson earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2012 from the University of Kansas and a Juris Doctor in 2016 from the University of Kansas School of Law. From March 2025 to July 2026, she was an assistant attorney general at the Office of the Attorney General of Kansas, Economic Crimes Division, in Topeka, Kansas. From August 2021 to March 2025, she served as an assistant district attorney at the Jonson County District Attorney’s Office, in Olathe, Kansas. From December 2016 to August 2021, she served as an assistant city prosecutor in the City Prosecutor’s Office, City of Lawrence, Kansas. Judge Watson is a member of the Kansas Bar.
