Background

The Honorable Immigration Judge K. Kaylin Render was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in July 2026. Judge Render earned her Bachelor of Arts in 1994 from Emory & Henry University and a Juris Doctorate in 1997 from Cumberland School of Law. From September 2005 to July 2026, she served as an assistant district attorney for the 2nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Sullivan County, Tennessee. From 1998 to 2004, she was a solo practitioner in Mount Carmel, Tennessee. Judge Render is a member of the Tennessee Bar.
