The Honorable Immigration Judge Eric Young was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in August 2026. Judge Young earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006 from the University of North Florida, a Juris Doctor in 2011 from Regent University School of Law, and a Master of Laws in taxation in 2013 from the University of Miami School of Law. From May 2024 to August 2026, Judge Young served as associate area counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, in Jacksonville, Florida. From September 2016 to May 2024, Judge Young served as a senior attorney in the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, in Cincinnati. Judge Young served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the Florida Air National Guard, retiring as a master sergeant after more than twenty years of service. Judge Young is a member of the Florida Bar and the Kentucky Bar Association.
