The Honorable Immigration Judge Alison Fox was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in August 2026. Judge Fox earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor in 2006 from St. Mary's University School of Law. From February 2021 to August 2026, Judge Fox served as research attorney to the Honorable Jesse F. McClure III of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin. From November 2018 to February 2021, Judge Fox served as director of the Conviction Integrity Unit and Ethical Disclosure Unit at the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office in San Antonio. From September 2013 to October 2018, Judge Fox served as a staff attorney in the writs of habeas corpus section of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin. From December 2009 to September 2013, Judge Fox was a sole appellate practitioner and special prosecutor at the Law Office of Alison A. Fox in Boerne, Texas. From November 2006 to December 2009, Judge Fox served as an assistant criminal district attorney in the trial and appellate divisions of the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office in San Antonio. Judge Fox is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
