KULR-8 reports that eight Montana residents with green cards joined the challenge to LR-121 because the law's definition of an illegal immigrant could still include people who once entered unlawfully. Shahid Haque explained that the definition failed to account for people who later completed the legal process to become permanent residents.
Although brief, the report shows the statewide reach of the LR-121 case and the central defect Shahid identified in the voter-approved law.
